After usually 5 years of legal residence and a passed integration exam, you can apply for naturalisation at your municipality. After that you make the declaration of solidarity.

- Check whether you qualify: about 5 years of uninterrupted legal residence and a passed integration exam.
- Make an appointment at the municipality and hand in your documents.
- The IND assesses your application (this takes a few months up to a year).
- If approved, you make the declaration of solidarity during a ceremony.
