Applying for DigiD
DigiD is your digital key for the government: taxes, allowances, healthcare, IND and the municipality. You need a BSN and you apply for it free of charge at digid.nl.

- Make sure you have a BSN (citizen service number) from the municipality.
- Go to digid.nl and apply for DigiD with your BSN.
- You receive an activation code by post.
- Activate DigiD and install the DigiD app on your phone.
