Language is the key to work, friends and independence. Besides your integration course, you can practise for free at the library, language cafés and with a language buddy.

- Start your official language course through the integration programme.
- Go to the Taalhuis (language house) or language café in the library (often free).
- Ask for a language buddy through VluchtelingenWerk or Het Begint met Taal.
- Practise a little every day — apps, children's books and small conversations help.

- A library card is usually free or cheap.
- Dare to make mistakes — that is how you learn fastest.
- Combine learning with work or volunteer work.
